• The MLP Draft

  • The MLP Draft for the second half of the 2023 season kicked off this past Wednesday in Central Park. Here are some highlights:

    • Ben Johns goes #1 this time around (A.L. Waters was the #1 pick back in December)

    • New players have entered the ring: Christian Alshon, Rachel Rohrabacher, Parris Todd (used to play MLP a year ago), Hunter Joshnson, Pablo Tellez, Connor Garnett, “Hurricane” Tyra Black.

    • Susannah Barr and Callan Dawson got completely snubbed.

    • Jill Braverman (Challenger League MVP) missed the Premier league cut.

    • Sam Querrey was pushing #samquerreyforpremier and was left, undrafted.

      • This post (on the subject) from Memes of Pickleball is hilarious.

      • However, this video rebuttal from Sam Querrey himself is even more hilarious.

• The “Ballpark Series” pickleball-palooza kicked off this weekend in Boston at Fenway park, featuring a few of pickleball’s biggest stars.
